Dear Family and Friends,
Our morning contact with Clare told us that Sister Gertrude is still in ICU. Both Clare and Emmanuel Sister Gertrude’s children are asking us to pray for Sister Gertrude and believe for God’s healing power.
Sister Gertrude has good kidney function and seems to be controlling the sudden onset of diabetes well. Clare sees her twice a day and is allowed only a few minutes with her. Sister Gertrude is not yet able to talk because of the oxygen tube but is trying to communicate through writing.
The children in the school and ministry in the village continues as Dennis and Jill Eenigenburg just finished a marriage conference and will return to the States soon.
Our goal is to send someone presently in Africa to spend a few days to encourage and strengthen the family. The family covets your earnest prayers during this time.

We are not sure if you are aware, but we are very sorry to say that Sister Gertrude went to be with the Lord April 23.
We appreciate your continued prayers as the family goes through this difficult time.
